If I were Sony I'd keep making them as long as they sell. Not only that, I'd offer price cuts, and offer them in a variety of colors like Nintendo does with its portables. Just keep it going. Over $100 million was spent on PS2 software in February. At least through 2009 I think they'll keep making them. It'll give them nice profit from PS2 hardware, and also all those liscensing fees software developers still pay them. And anyone saying the PS2 is a competitor to the PS3 simply doesn't understand the market. There are those that want to by a high priced high powered console like the PS3 and 360, and those that don't. Those that don't aren't going to be swayed to buy a PS3 just because they can't buy a PS2.
