Some thoughts on Madden 09 sales--PS3 v. Wii

 Yeah the Wii version sold something like 7k units last week, despite the immenant arrive of '09.   Sells very consistantly all year long but lacks the massive first week sales of HD consoles.

 

What about the PS3 version? If legs continue like this then I see it passing the PS3 version easy then as long as the PS3 versions dropped hheavily and weren't heard of soon after the first week.

Like I said in the OP, the PS3's legs were not nearly as strong.  First week sales accounted for 29.5% of its total sales, which is quite a chunk. 

This is quite typical tho, the Wii and its legs are the really surprising part.  The Wii is changing expectations about console game sales the same way the DS did for handhelds.
