This game is set 500 years after the first, and I suspect that it will still be about Jack of Blades, but thats speculation on my part. Whats even better about Fable 2 is that side quests (and inevitably some main quests) are pointed out to you by the companion you share the adventure with, your dog. This allows you to choose whether or not to follow the scents he picks up or not. Play Fable 1, then tell me Fable 2 won't have a story. Better yet, play Fable: The Lost Chapters expansion, as it greatly increased on the story of the first. |
I have played Fable 1 and I really did enjoy it. While Fable did have a story (the comment was mostly in jest, because I compared a JRPG to a WRPG), it wasn't something to write home about. Fable was not a bad game at all, it had a cool environment, a great battle system, and was just fun to play. Those are usually the strengths of most WRPGs.
