To be fair... it's totally Nintendo's fault. They jutst never tried hard enough. They were doing so well in the US and Japan their effort in Europe in comparison was just half ass for some reason up until like... the PS2 era after Sony expanded the europeon market.
I don't know if they were afraid they were getting too big and worried about another crash or what.
