Great work you got there, maybe you need a story writer for the plot? Anyway I think you can add a nice back ground for the battles so that it will not look too plain. Also can I know how many areas are you adding for this game? What platform will be on? Do you need help with move sets and abilities? I think it will be cool if you can add some custom moves maybe take from the anime and allow some Pokemon to have abilities like their anime counterparts.
