Nintendo don't care about fangames. Look at MP2D, AM2R, Zelda Classic (best fangame ever) and the billions of Mario fangames, as well as the existing Pokemon fangames that never got anywhere because it was too democratic. I'll release the source because I'm not trying to claim it as my own.
What do you think of the screenshots/progress/general idea though?
