And it's not even clear that Blu-ray is the future. There's still potential for it to be remembered as merely an amusing side-show between real generations.

 

 yeah exactly, kinda like the laserdisc was back when cd's came out. yes the players sold some kinda like blueray but never really caught on as an alternative to watch your movies. also laserdiscs had the same problem that blue ray does. the discs were costly, even though they looked great on tv and the players were just as costly to play the discs.
