That's bull Zen, many games require online capabilities to fully utilize a game. Any game with online mulitplayer would fall under this category and therefore MKwii and SSBB should have the same kind of warning that you think might be necessary for LBP.
The game will come with 50 levels straight out of the box, and even if you can't connect to the internet you can still create your own levels. Not having online only takes out the sharing part of "create, play, share" mantra that the game is based around. You will still have a full and complete game even without an internet connection. It's true some may be disappointed, but only if they go into the game expecting to be able to share their creations and gain more from others, and if they know that much about the game they can probably surmise that it will take an internet connection to acheive.
Many people are underestimating the developers' ability to make fun levels with their own engine. I think that very few people will be disappointed by this game, what I've read about the levels that come with the game itself is nothing but encouraging.
