I can try and make predictions but only for 360 and PS3. The Wii is insanely unpredictable so it could go on to sell 500 million units or someshit crazy like that.
I think the PS3 will be somewhere between 120-150 million at the end of the generation unless it sees some serious price drops and hardware revision. I think it could be much more successful than it currently is. Anything can happen once Blu Ray becomes the main movie format. Combine that with the fact that the console will me much cheaper (and hopefully slimmer - with a lot of good games to chose from) and I could see it actually pulling in PS2 numbers.
I think that the 360 will settle somewhere between 50-60 million. I like the console a lot. It definitely has its share of AAA games and is a HUGE improvement over the original Xbox. This is why my prediction has it selling twice the amount of units. I think that although the 360 is a Microsoft's strongest outting so far, it simply is not enough to dethrone the two gaming companies that have pretty much run things for the last decade (or two?). Definitely a step in the right direction though. I don't think there's a spec of doubt at this point that there will be a third box.
I am hoping that the Wii will cool off around the time that it hits 70 million. That, however, is not my prediction, since I already stated that this console is ridiculous unpredictable and could go on to sell a billion units for all I know.
