Exactly...It fits more into the category of FPS then action-adventure.

Metroid Prime is not a shooter.  There are more than just shooting in Metroid Prime, there are elements like Morph Ball mazes, platform jumping, and puzzle solving.  And I say these elements are more than 50% of the gameplay experience.

Your first sentence contradicts your second...Take a look yourself.

Once again, I'm going to say that it's a first-person adventure game with shooting elements.  It's kinda like how Zelda is a third-person adventure with RPG elements.  Also I played this game less than 48 hours ago so I doubt I need a gamespot review.

The sentence in bold proves that indeed it is a FPS. Secondly do you recall me saying anything about it just been FPS?Yes your right, I'm wrong including Gamespot.

Yes, you and Gamespot are wrong.  It's not a FPS.  This has been substantiated for years.   Gamespot simply doesn't have a FPA category in their CMS.

By your accounts, Duck Hunt is a FPS.

Take a look at the bold. By your account Wikipedia is wrong, Ign is wrong, etc...

If you've ever played Metroid Prime, it's clear that it's not a first person shooter. The game does contain many shooting elements, but at its core it is a First Person Adventure. The atmosphere and adventure elements of the game overall outweigh (and contribute to) the shooting.

I think that all the sites you have listed simply don't have a first person adventure category, as it is not a very popular genre (Metriod Prime, Elder Scrolls and ...?).
