Those words scare me....
Reason:
It's going for a simo release, if the 360 version has to get gimped to the point where it's too noticable, what stops them from going back and changing the ps3 version a bit to make the difference less noticable... Meaning that Japan maybe the only ones that get the true version of the game....
I really hope nothing happens to the ps3 version. They say it won't affect the quality, but these are the same people that told us "the X360 will never see FF13, or anyother FF" many times over, again, and again....
