| Louie said: The true thing is that the DS didn´t see that many games this year, while the PSP has seen Monster Hunter and dozens of other small releases while at the same time it sells as a multimedia system which means the hardware sales are not solely driven by software available for the system. Currently the DS is seeing more releases again, with Dragon Quest as the lead title and suddenly sales increase steadily on a weekly basis. Saturation is only half of the story, there have been far more and far bigger releases in Japan last year for the system and I highly doubt the DS would sell less than 100,000 units each week if it got so many big games this year as well. |
Actually the second half of this year seems to have many big releases such as DQVI, DQIX,Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Platinum(huge), Kingdom Hearts 358/2, and many smaller titles. So I could see the DS keeping or surpassing these 60k sales. I agree with you though there weren't too many big releases the first half of this year.
