Just buy the RAM from NewEgg. Prices are typically better if you take advantage of the deals they often have.
I like Fry's, but it's definitely best for those who know exactly what they want at the exact price they're looking for.
Prices there fluctuate on a constant basis, and they always have their special deals (frequently limited stock, meaning out of stock unless you go when the doors open) which are often excellent.
It's good to price shop there anyway.
The Fry's on Hamilton in SJ had a bunch of 60GB 360s, a fair amount of $319 20GB "bundles" a bunch of Arcades and a bunch of Elites, many of which looked like old stock, judging by the condition of the boxes. They didn't have any 40GB PS3s, but they had a fair amount of MGS4 bundles. The 40GBs are definitely becoming scarcer in the Bay Area.
