 agreed. production costs are going to be down in the not too distant future, they already have gone done significantly since launch.

BC is achieved by using the exact components that are in the PS2PS1? They cannot be "cost reduced" any further. Prolly cost more due to lack of quantity.

BC most likely adds a good $30-$35 to the cost of each console.

Yeah I know, I was saying it in response to the bolded bit above, just clarifying that BC isn't achived through emulation for either PS1\PS2. Even in those 80GB MGS4 special editions, they are only emulating the graphics chip. Anyway, OT sorry about that.
