I think the big problem with alot of people is that there is alot less information on Wii games from third parties and Nintendo than there are of HD games. We have crystal bearers, and Disaster which people think are cancelled because we haven't seen anything of them in ages. Also there are alot of games that are unknown or forgotten to alot of people, and this is mostly because of the lack of information. I think once we see more stuff on already announced games, people will actually consider the Wii as a console for almost all demographs in the same way the DS is seen. Also Japanese third party support has been increasing at a healthy rate, and I expect it to surpass that of the HD consoles in a year or two. Western support is different, and I don't expect too much, but I do expect it to get better, and it already is better than the gamecubes. It wasn't until now that the DS seems to get good western support(GTA, Mass Effect,CoD) and was predominately supported by Japanese developers, so I see them as the ls to shift. Next Generation if Nintendo keeps the lead there is no doubt they will get most of the support, and even if they don't keep the lead as long as they sell well they should have some good support as we see with the HD consoles.
