Well Miyamoto did say that if developers wanted great games on Nintendo systems, they should put their top teams on making those games, not their third tier teams.
BTW, remember Chris Hecker's comment about the Wii? Now I'm wondering how much GC development he personally did. In other words, how would he actually know what even the GC can actually do, let alone one twice as powerful?
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
