Let's see what games make up the most of that 30 million.

American totals:
http://vgchartz.com/atotals.php?name=&console=Wii&maker=&boxartz=1

That's likely to exceed 30 million, given this is a few weeks ahead of NPD numbers. But there are still lots of 3rd party games selling a few hundred thousand copies, and since the development costs are lower, that's a better profit margin.

EDIT: For some reason, you need to click the numbers at the top to see the next pages properly.

20,267,923 for the 3rd party games in the 1st 50

10,059,495 for the 3rd party games in the 2nd 50

4,849,632 for the 3rd party games in the 3rd 50

1,947,752 for the 3rd party games in the 4th 50

519,528 for the 3rd party games in the 5th 50

for a grand total of 37,644,330

or 4,644,330 third paty games sold since this chart was made if these figures are accurate. (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/09/nintendo-releases-third-party-sales-chart-npd-clarifies-some-de/ says it is actualyl 33 million on the chart)

How many weeks is the chart behind anyway?

Up to the month of the last NPD numbers given out.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
