Fishy, you know me, I've been here for a while. I'm no 360 fan.

Look at who owns 360's.
Look what games are on 360.
Now look at the U.S. attach rate.

Now look at the Wii's
and take out 1.2-1.4 for WiiSports and WiiPlay or don't (either way my point is still valid).

Is that really just from being out a year earlier?

I wonder when we look at software sales and attach rate if anyone has factored inthat the Wii has essentially perfect backward compatability and judging by the neighborhood kids who use mine they will still pull out a classic GC favorite and play on a fairly regular basis.

From the howling I read on the XBox 360 boards when MS announced they weren't going to make any more games BC, and the confusion caused by the PS3 with its on again off again (the 20 GB is, the 40 isn't, the 60 is but not the same way in PAL and NTSC, the 80 was but now isn't unless you live in Armenia or something like that). I listened to two BestBuy emplyees get into such a debate on this that they didn't even notice the customer walk off in disgust.Even then the BC on both HD consoles doesn't always work quite right. I read reports of no sound, menus don't work etc.

I understand the issues involved and I do not mean to imply any criticism of either the XBox 360 or the PS3 but the fact remains that the day I purchased the Wii I already had  a very large library of favorite games and if nothing else it means I can wait and be very selective about the new games I purchase.
