Ummm, I understand what you're trying to say, but there are some technical mistakes in the OP. You don't use X number of Watts in an hour, Watts are an instantaneous measurement of power which is the rate of flow of energy. 1 Watt = 1 Joule/1 second.

That calculation is easier to do for physical systems, but there is an analogous equation for circuits that reduces to the same thing. Power = Voltage * Current. All those fancy devices that measure wattage are simply multimeters that do the multiplication for you.
