How so? I've been playing many more Local Multiplayer games on the Wii than PS360, and almost all of them I enjoyed more. I don't see how it is gimped.
The 360/PS3/PC versions have split screen multiplayer. I think it may even be 4 way split screen. The Wii version has a mode where one person is playing and the other person can fire with another remote, a bit like Super Mario Galaxy where one person plays and someone else can collect the star pieces. Of course that may or may not affect your enjoyment of the game, but it is definitely a cut down version of the multiplayer.
