Rol, yes but that was just modest talk by Yamamuchi.
With the 6 billion in reserves and GBA still incredibly strong for two years after the release of DS Nintendo would have been just fine. Not 6 billion a year fine, but still around and still making consoles and games for the 6-7 million Nintendo Fanboys and millions of families that still associate children and videogames with Nintendo.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
