Last year everyone said that the PS3 will never outsell the 360...

The majority of optimistic predictions I have heard for the XBox 360 have it maintaining 2nd place in English speaking countries and not losing by that much to the PS3 ... There have been far more posts by far more people that expected the Wii to not pass the Gamecube's sales worldwide than there have been people that expected the XBox 360 to retain a worldwide lead over the PS3.

lol all i read about 2006 and most of 2007 was how the ps3 would struggle to reach 10 millions.

Depending on how you define "Struggle" that could be considered an accurate statement ...

When you align regional launches, it took the PS3 a similar ammount of time to make it to 10 Million units as it took the PS2 to make it to 20 Million units. On top of that the PS3 needed several different bundles, Sony had to introduce a new model at a lower price, and the Blu-Ray consortium (read: Sony) had to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to secure exclusivity from certain movie companies to kill HD-DVD in order for the PS3 to break 10 Million units that quickly. I think that it is fair to say that the PS3 struggled to break 10 million in comparison to previous Sony systems.

Sony didn't bribe Warner Bros, they cut off HD DVD support since Blu-ray was outselling HD DVD 3:1 at least.
