Next time, he must think his words before saying them, because it can be used against him. He should had said: "If we reduce the price now, we would annoy the early buyers of our consoles"...
But anyway, its a matter of priorities (that's the word?): Make people happy for the price cut (a lot of people) or, annoy people for the price cut (not a lot of people)
