And it is already starting. Looking at this week's sales chart for America, I notice that at $299 with NCAA Football '09, the 360 comes within less than 3,000 units of topping. At $199.99 with Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata 2, Too Human, and Tales of Vesperia, the 360 dominates.

Think your post needs some editing. Hmmm......little there......scratch that......hmmm.....ok....GOT IT

Games this year for the 360 that will sell significantly

  • Gears of War 2

I'm not kidding you. A lot of these games won't have pushing power. Fallout never broke a millions sales, Left 4 Dead will do mediocre on the 360, Rare games don't sell on the X-Box line, Too Human has little hype or name recognition and RPGs don't preform well on the 360.

Truth is that it all comes down to sales, and Fanboys love to overhype how well a game will do and how influencial it will be. Nintendo isn't losing steam becuase they are having the best year. With Smash, Mario Kart, and Wii Fit already out (all of which broke 5 million sold) and Wii Music and Animal Crossing coming out later, their profits will be though the roof.

A strong library of games helps, but sales are what is going to matter in a business sence, which helps create a strong line up of games. Don't expect the Wii to falture, but only go up.
