@SC: Yes! You got it. Just the thing i'm talking about. The only thing that would in reality change, would be the easier way to create an account.
Let's take an example; You'd come to VGChartz and the frontpage would say "register to view content", instead of browsing the news, forum and sales before registering. So, how many of us would have registered? This is the situation i'm saying the friendcode system would make better. Everyone would still be telling how great XBL is, functionality would still be the same as before, but since creating an account would happen automatically, without any effort, it would be easier to get people to come in and pay for their XBL use.
