Actually I proved it in the same thread you quoted that from. The game isn't even half way to paying off its development cost. In fact I was being quite generous in assuming all of the 57.3% of Konami's earnings from the PS3 could be attributed directly to MGS4
It may have broken even by now, but that would depend on how much MGS4 actually sold in the first quarter.
