PS3 really is dropping fast isn't it. I think those talking of suply problems really are milking it. The console sold what 350k in US in june? Which is about 80k a week. That was with a new game out. If you actually look at the pattern with GTA4 and the PS3 you notice it is the same. it goes from 95k on may 3rd (3 weeks after GTA4) to 50k on may 10th, then 40k on may 24th then 40k on 31st may.
So there is a pattern of the PS3 sales declining prior to MGS4 to average of 40k while in those weeks mentioned the 360 was averaging around 55k.
I think that the PS3 has just returned to it's pre MGS4 sales as statisticly it looks that way. There is nothing to suggest it should be selling 100% more. And as Sony nor any company have talked about there being one i think it is just Sony fans running damage control.
