Well, seeing as Phil Hartman died in 1998, Troy McClure has been dead for over half the entire series existence. Which is a shame, since they also lost Lionel Hutz because of his wife going insane. Not to mention the sadness of murder/suicides anyway.

"I'm motioning for a bad... court thingy.
You mean a mistrial?
Yeah! That's why you're the judge and I'm the... law talking guy.
The lawyer.
Right"

I love the series, but it's because they made their characters human, with faults as all people, sometimes exaggerated, but no true malice, and often showing a good family unity, and decent human spirit. Later episodes, they did in fact just become cartoon characters. My saddest moment was watching an episode where they appeared to be ripping off Family Guy, a show that owes their entire existence to the Simpsons, and doing it worse than Family Guy could. But I'll still buy the DVD's, at least until Season 12. Then the hesitation will be higher than the want I fear.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
