In DMC3 and 4, I find myself doing aerial combo's more than anything else. And in onimusha 2 I got really bored because I couldn't jump, then in Chaos Legion I had a blast even though it felt exaclty like Onimusha but you can summon monsters and Jump. Lol. Not every game has/needs a jump button, but for any game action based alot of gamers have more fun with jumping. Am perfectly fine when my RPG's and most action games don't have a jump button, action RPG or not [folklore was pretty awesome].
Similar things apply to other genre's aswell. My brother says he won't buy Socom or MAG if there is no knife.... CoD4 is like a drug for him......
