Timesplitters came first out on PS2, and looked the same on the other systems when they brought TS:2 to the other systems. Plus the xbox had way better graphics then the GC and PS2, and so far the wii has not even had games with the same level of graphics as the xbox, plus i went and played some of the original games for the GC the other day and they look pretty much the same as the wii games. Plus the 360/PS3 are so far ahead of what the wii can do it is not even funny. The wii is closer to last gens specs then this gens.

Right ...

If you made a list of the most technically impressive games of the last generation a large portion of them would be Gamecube games (Rogue Squdren 2 & 3, and Resident Evil 4 as examples)

The Gamecube and XBox were vastly different architectures produced using vastly different design principles which gave them very different strenghts and weaknesses; Nintendo's approach was to produce the highest processing power at the lowest manufacturing cost (easy to develop for) gaming machine, whereas Microsoft's approach was to produce a powerful PC. The end result of this was there were things that the XBox could do that the Gamecube couldn't, and vice versa.

The myth that the Gamecube was (dramatically) less powerful than the XBox (and sometimes argued as the PS2) comes from the fact that the Gamecube was less expensive and most developers did not design towards the Gamecube's architecture; the PS2 had the massive userbase which made sure developers knew its hardware and the XBox used the same architecture as a PC whereas the Gamecube had neither of these benefits.
