| brute said: http://news.spong.com/article/15961/Nintendo_Iwata_We_Wont_Compete_Online Nintendo's president, Mr Satoru Iwata (we nearly said, Shigeru Iwata there) has been telling The Wall Street Journal that things are going very nicely thanks. |
This article has a very specific tone and a very specific goal. It's very anti-Nintendo right from the start, throwing in little insults for no reason.
And then this witty line:
"So, when he says Nintendo won't compete he qualifies that brilliantly with "exact same services". Nicely equivocated because, of course, 'similar' services would be on the cards."
He's trying to say like saying "exact same services" is a cop out or something, or like he's trying to purposely be unclear. No. He's just saying that, they have a specific market - gaming. They don't have a movie studio, so they are not going to offer downloadable movies. They aren't out to control market's that aren't theirs, so they aren't going to offer these "other services." He's very clear in his words. This article was pointless.
