Thanks Sony. Just when some of your statements start to sound "rational" again, you come out with this.

"we’re not trying to get the senior citizen group to get into gaming"

--> We don't like new customers?

"we’re looking to convert the PS2 owners and the tens of millions of installed base that were playing DVDs and playing games on their PS2, to now play Blu-ray movies and Blu-ray games with their PS3."

--> Sorry to have to tell you this, but most of the PS2 'casualz' owners I know have upgraded to a Wii - not a PS3.

As for BluRay movies - we'll consider it, when the cheapest player is less than $700 (AU). Upscaling DVD players can be picked up for around $70AU.

The last remaining thing I need for my living room is 'online movies on-demand' - and its just a question of picking which service I want.

...

If their business model is based on "converting PS2 owners to PS3 owners", they are going to have a REAL hard time this generation :P

That sounds exactly what some fanboys ere saying. A lot of stuff Sony said was pretty similar to what fanboys have said. If Sony just act like their fanboys...God help them.

Sony go out of their way to PROMOTE that annoying 10 year old arrogant fanboy attitude, it does them the world of good. It does the "normal" people on the internet head's in.

Is anything real anymore?

EDIT.... ^ Just look at that post above mine! Need I say more. I know there's a hell of a lot more of "those people" who own PS3s than any other console. You just don't hear many Xbox 360\Wii owners talk like that.

Sony LOVE IT! Disgrace really, especiallu coming from a japanese company, of which they generally have the principal of respect and honour much higher up their priotrities than most other countries...

Sony, the new McDonalds.
