Just to put this in perspective for people. Porting and downgrading it to the Wii should be cheaper than creating a new IP for the Wii.
RE5 on the Wii is at least a guaranteed 1.5 million sales on the Wii given RE4 and RE:UC' success. How many other titles do Capcom and other publishers put out that have no chance of hitting that mark? Capcom would be foolish to turn down such free money.
