Someone asked why are HD consoles struggling? It's the middle of summer haha. Without huge mainstream appeal they are going to have issues. Wii and DS? Huge mainstream appeal and every week is a holiday.
Anyways DS at almost 300k is ungodly. This is just unprecedented. And Wii following closely behind. I mean awhile ago I said aroudn this time PS3 would have evened the market out in Europe/Other but that doesn't appear to be happening and looks like it never will. I think 360 is preventing that in a few ways. Taking sales away from the PS3. Until PS3 can knock out the 360 here it has no chance of knocking out the Wii. And if this doesn't happen soon Wii will run away with all the buyers... just like DS is doing to the PSP.
I mean I thought only this time this year I could say that the Japanese market was closed... but it's looking awfully close to a very Wii Europe/Other with no chances of the others. But there's always a glimmer of hope. But not if this continues.
