@superchunk LoL true... there's no denying that the Repubs were milking it for all its worth and doing some grandstanding to try to score political points out of it.
My original point was just to show that Congress has hardly accomplished anything since the Democrats took control in '06, promising "change" along the way, and now they're saying the same thing again in '08, when in reality if Obama wins nothing will really change, it'll just be business as usual except the Democrats will have control of the House, Senate, and Presidency just as the Repubs did for 6 years, and look how much that ended up accomplishing.
At the end of the day I take McCain over Obama because of his continued support of the war even when it was (and still is somewhat) unpopular, and he was one of the few to actually support the much-needed troop surge... Obama said in several interviews that even after the surge proved to be a success he still wouldn't have supported it.
If McCain and Obama were beers, McCain would be Busch Light and Obama would be Marx Light... I'll take Bush over Marx any day of the week.
