Again - they're not doing this to make "enough" money. They want to make as much money as possible.

Both RE Wii games sold very well, enough to make "entirely reworking" Dead Rising attractive. There's nothing out there on RE5 to indicate that there's gameplay the Wii can't handle. They have a ready-made RE4 engine for the graphical issues.

You're overestimating the effort it would take, and underestimating the money they could make.
