Blast Works is an excellent shmup with hundreds of downloadable levels available and a full port of the original Tumiki Fighters, among other things. And it's dropped to $19.99 new.
HotD 2 & 3 I would consider a great value, if only because you don't need any expensive-as-hell light-gun peripherals to play it. Just grab a couple of Wiimotes and fire away. Ditto for Ghost Squad.
Mercury Meltdown Revolution is the best Marble Madness-esque game this generation, and only $20 new.
The Wii version of SNK Arcade Classics just came out, and it doesn't have the emulation issues of the PS2 or PSP versions. Basically, it's $144 worth of NeoGeo games (judging by VC prices) for $30.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
