Fistly, "running out of steam" is beiing used in a wrong context.
Not mention that is not a surprise that the "Wii2" is being developed, a new hardware is developed soon after on is released.
And most Nintendo's IPs weren't released in this generation, not to mention that 3rd party suppot is increasing.
And for last, but not least important, Miyamoto is a very creative man, every generation he come up with great concepts.
