I find that statement less than surprising for two reasons, The Wii is already the most accessorized console ever. Who else has released anything like a balance board? Motion Plus was not planned originally because the technology didn't even exist but it alone makes the Wii an entirely different console.
And traditionally Nintendo always remains close mouthed so even if things were in development down the road they would deny it anyway.
