Ninty won't put a price cut any time soon because they want to avoid causing riots and the breakdown of society. A cheaper Wii will mean fighting and bloodshed in the store aisles for the console. Ninty does not want blood on their hands.
Seriously though, like others have said, Ninty won't do a price cut until it wants to do a price cut. Even if Sony and MS do price cuts, it doesn't mean Ninty will do one. Its more likely that Ninty will do a price cut when Wii popularity dies down. Or maybe they'll keep the same price point and add more stuff to the package (like someone else suggested).
I can't wait for Ninty to get the Wii at a $150 price point. There will be mass havoc and hysteria at that point. MS and Sony execs will be CRYING TEARS OF MERCY at that point.
What I want Ninty to do is release a Wii Wand 3-pack bundle. The Wii is such a perfect group console but it can get pricey buying multiple wands and nunchucks.
Also, it would be an absolutely bad idea for Ninty to stop shipping the pack-in game with the Wii. They would only save like $2 at most by no longer shipping it. Its a perfect game for the Wii to be packed with. And who would want to by this at retail anyway? Its like almost like a demo disc.
