I guess the reason I hate M$ for charging for Live is the fact that all the stuff the should charge for, like voip and the like, is free and simple online gaming is not. It also galls me that they have no problem providing hundreds (thousands?) of servers with XBLA games and movies for free, but they won't let you use a practically identical server (as far as maintenance costs go) to play online without shafting you for $50. It's just ridiculous.
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
