If given a comparable option, I will often go for an American product over a foreign product. In videogame consoles, it doesn't matter though... There's really no such thing as a "comparable product". It's all about the exclusives and if they cater to my tastes or not.
Other examples would be that yes, I drive an American car (comparable product and price vs. foreign makes) but I ride an Italian motorcycle (no comparable American product available).
