Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Did any sense of "patriotism" play a role in you buying an Xbox 360?

As we all know the Xbox sells very well all but exclusively in America and while that is largely attributable to a video game library catering to American tastes I'm curious if a sense of "patriotism" played any role in anyones decision when choosing the original Xbox or Xbox 360 over rival consoles?

Nope, $199 refurbished unit bought because it was below the "Stupid" threshold.

I bought it because of the X in the title. I am a big fan of the X-Files and was duped into thinking they were related.

Was it a core? That's a pretty good price, where did you find it?

I hear there's a videotape of it too.

I hate the Patriots and I am glad that they lost the last Super Bowl.

QFT, best Super Bowl since I can remember.

On topic: Absolutely not, when I was looking to get a console it was the one where all (and still majority) the games I wanted to play were at.
