That at least makes some sense, however when that argument turns into complaints about Nintendo abandonining certain gamers, it doesn't. They've been providing the same support to the "hardcore" since GCN, and possibly even N64 - except now they have more games for the "casuals" as well. The old gamers are simply jealous of the attention Nintendo is giving to the new audience. If Nintendo stops making Fire Emblems, Zeldas, Metroids, etc... then they have an argument. Also, most of the "hardcore titles" on MS / Sony's consoles are 3rd parties, aren't they? Nintendo hasn't had great third party support since the SNES, so the current lack of quality titles is nothing new (not to mention, this is quickly changing).
