| DMeisterJ said: No one will care? No, this site is too mature for that. /sarcasm No, I predict many threads proclaiming this success, condescending threads about PS360 everywhere you turn around, Nintendo FUD, PS360 damage control, and many people not caring (i.e.: Me.) We all know it's coming, it's not like it's gonna hit 50 percent and every developer is gonna say, "Okay, quit developing PS360 games, Wii only games now! I don't care if you're millions of dollars and two years into development, stop the project and work on the Wii!". The sad thing is that some people do believe this is what will happen. I myself will just take a 1 week sabbatical from the site. That week is gonna be as bad as the E3 week, and I know I don't have the patience to deal with fifty million threads on the same subject, proclaiming the same stuff, and all the smugness on this site. Someone will revive the crow-eating thread, and any negative post about the Wii will get brought up, since people have no lives. |
How is no one caring mature? It would be an actual milestone which would definitly be something a note for just about everybody unless you were a fanboy of a different console.
Certaintly more of a milestone then 14.47 million in anycase.
I mean why is it that everybody cares when a baseball player hits his 500th HR? Sure it doesn't make much difference if it's 499 or even 501, and 500 is treated as bigger then 501 even. The 500 could be hit during a blowout and it wouldn't help your team at all... yet it'd still be big for you as a player according to everyone in baseball. Even fans of other teams would admit that.
Why cause it's a milestone. rounded off milesetones are seen as extra important in well... just culture. The thing that would be immature would be to try and ignore it.
Well mostly. The late adopters also care less about things being high-tech and more powerfully specced... but i mean that goes against the PS3.
