This thread is quite ridiculous. Many of you don't seem to understand the situation here. The problem is that Nintendo franchises are becoming easier in difficulty and can no longer be considered truly hardcore. Much of the games you posted do not fit the definition of hardcore as we would have known 10 years ago, even borderline hardcore titles such as TP is far too easy to be considered a truly hardcore fare.

No, clearing up your complaints isn't the reason I made this thread. The thread is to clear up what Nintendo has been doing on the Wii, especially after the confusion that e3 gave. The problem I addressed was that the way they spaced out their releases made it seem the "hardcore" are getting less than they were compared to GCN days, when they really aren't. I guess "hardcore" is the wrong term (I don't like it anyway), it should say something like, old school Nintendo fans.

Your complaints are completely different. Your issues with Nintendo have nothing to do with the Wii - you're complaining about difficulty, for example, but I recall Wind Waker being easier than TP (I don't recall OoT being hard either). Galaxy was at least as difficult as Sunshine (was mario 64 hard?). Hell, how often have any of their popular franchises been that hard? Maybe the games in their NES days? SNES? Besides, they still have games like Fire Emblem if difficulty is your thing.

I can see you having a case with SSBM / MK: DD, as their exploits allowed for higher skill caps, but I doubt that was even intended in the first place - that's also only a multiplayer issue anyway. Anyway, I find it hard to believe that you ever liked Nintendo that much anyway, so they never abandoned you, if they never served you in the first place. If I'm wrong, please do enlighten me, and if possible give some examples of Nintendo games you did enjoy.

Don't bother replying to that guy again. His comments are nothing but fanboy spiel.
