Is Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition supposed to be this hard?

They made the game harder on purpose because the Wii aiming had made it easier.

using a handgun I find it pretty easy to get 90%+

I will ask you this: What position are you playing in? ie are you sitting or lying down, and is your wrist resting on something (your lap?) or free in the air.
