I think the worst thing will be ditching the 3rd person fighting style for 1st person. It will annoy me greatly. This doesnt mean I think MotionPlus should go unused, it should just be used tastefully. Like perhaps in boss battles. OH GAWD, i just had the best idea pop into my head: MotionPlus duel against SHADOW LINK...mmmm.
Also if fights are in 1:1 FPS it would suck if there wasnt a puzzle element to the fight also.
