Track down a CRT HD if you have the space. Especially if you play any Playstation 2 + eariler videogames, and/or will be watching regular DVDs.
If not, at least go DLP or Plasma. LCD tech is the bottom tier, the upgrade will be worth it. You're going to have to be staring at this thing for at least a couple years, TVs aren't something to nickel-and-dime over.
It really doesn't make sense to hunt (and pay) for 1080p in the 37-40 inch range, lol. 46" and over maybe.
