One thing to consider is if you sell RockBand to retailers for $125 and it costs you $95 to manufacture and licence the game  and you sell another game to retailers for $45 and it costs you $15 to manufacture and licence the game, if you sell the same number of copies of each game you will get 277% the revenue from RockBand as the other game but your actual income would be equal ...
